My approach to client care is to work with each individual as a partner. I emphasize the individual, not the problem, and consider each individual a unique signature of nature. My clients come to me when they are ready to make a lifestyle change and need help with removing self-imposed
limitations and inner barriers that cause stress and prevent achieving goals in life. We dwell on what is positive and well.
I subscribe to a school of thought best expressed by Hippocrates, who said “everything in excess is opposed to nature”. We all are a part of nature and subject to its laws, and health is an achievement of harmony on physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental level. Health is also a science that empowers us to take responsibility for our own well-being.
My approach to health is defined by a multidisciplinary, natural, and holistic method that addresses the relationship between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and physical and spiritual well-being. I combine health psychology with natural healing arts within a system of healing that is effective, gentle and non-invasive, non-allopathic, and non-addictive.
In my practice, I utilize:
- Health Psychology because it studies the complex relationship among psychological, social, and biological factors implicated in health and illness, applies theoretical models of psychophysiological wellness, health, and immunocompetence, identifies personal and environmental factors that impact health, uses nutritional models to promote psychological wellness, and applies evidence-based psychological interventions that address the role of stress on health.
- Hypnotherapy because it applies hypnosis as a therapeutic clinical and medical intervention and tool for accessing the subconscious and effecting profound change. Everything that we have ever experienced or learned in life is stored in the subconscious, which is also the only place where we can change what we have learned, how we behave and respond, and how we feel.
- Reiki because it is a gentle form of energy healing that helps release physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental blockages, and provides a deeply relaxing experience during which the body’s own healing mechanisms are activated.
- Ayurveda because the science (Veda) of life (Ayu) is one of the oldest comprehensive health care systems recognized by the World Health Organization. According to Ayurveda, harmony at the level of the body, mind, and spirit is true health.
As a healthcare professional, I am proud to be a member of the International Honor Society in Psychology, American Psychological Association, American Association of Professional Hypnotherapists, and International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.
